Alan Bickers BE, Dip. Mgt, Dist FIPENZ, FCILT, FIE Aust, FNZIM. Director. Alan has more than 30 years experience as a professional engineer, project director, consultant and senior executive in the public and private sectors. He completed management studies at the University of Canberra, Australia and Templeton College, Oxford University, UK. Since 1995 he has been practising as a strategic management consultant to both large and small businesses, including significant local authorities and leading corporates. His areas of expertise include governance, management, strategy and policy development, project management and arbitration.

Kevin Wearne CA. Director. Kevin has practised as a Business Consultant since 1994. Following a successful career in internal auditing in a government department, accounting and company secretarial posts within the private sector civil engineering industry, and twenty years of company ownership in the areas of office technology and supplies. Kevin has held Directorships in a number of companies, including the Deputy Chairmanship of Aspen Contractors Ltd, a LATE owned by Tauranga District Council. Other positions include Chairman of Connect NZ Ltd and Robert Monk Transport, Director of Design Mobel Group Ltd, Compass Community Village Ltd and the Compass Foundation.

David Fraser NZCE(Civil), MBA. P.G.Cert. Bus.Res. Director. With a background in civil engineering and computer applications, David specializes in information and quality management systems. On behalf of Catalyst he manages a large logistics company at the Port of Tauranga (turnover $5million). He is also manager of a highly innovative and vigorous information technology company (LOGIS) delivering IT and software solutions to major clients in transport, forestry and horticulture.

Shane Adams BE (Hons), Dip ORS. Shane is ex-RNZAF with degree qualifications in electrical engineering, operations research and statistics. Since December 2000 he has brought his exceptional intelligence and high-level analytical skills to the refinement and clarification of numerous aspects of the Catalyst client-base and service repertoire. His specialist areas are business intelligence and decision support systems, and transport economics.

Rohan Bignell BBS. Rohan is a Human Resource Practitioner with 14 years experience within both Local and Central Government and Private Sector organizations. Trainer, manager and consultant, Rohan has operated at a strategic and operational level. Closely involved with long-term Catalyst clients in the transport, forestry and manufacturing industries, Rohan has strong background in the application of employment law and developing practical recommendations and strategies for organizational improvement.

Jimmy Conway. BComm, PG.Dip, CA, M.MGT. Co-founder and former Director of the Business Development Group, Jimmy has 10 years experience as a consultant to small, medium and large privately and publicly-owned organizations. During this time he has developed long-term relationships with clients seeking improvements in business strategy, management best practices, productivity and quality. He has also spent time as GM of a medium-sized timber processor with a strong domestic customer base and significant exports to the USA and Australia.
